Obtaining an environmental permit is a milestone for many investments that paves the way for their realization. Entrusting the problem of overcoming this stage to incompetent people may result in a painful delay in its preparation or, in extreme cases, its complete collapse.
In concept the effective legal procedures are simple, but experience shows the need to select a strategy for solving the problem of obtaining an environmental permit that is appropriate for a specific investment and a specific location. The adequacy of the adopted strategy will depend on the experience and substantive preparation of the experts involved.
Environmental impact analyses require participation of specialists who are able to properly identify the reactions of biotic elements of the environment to planned interference. Not every naturalist is able to understand the complexity of the technical objectives of investment plans and, by establishing cause-effect sequences, predict the changes that will occur in the environment. In many cases, it is necessary to analyze these changes in relation to complex ecosystems or the details of the ecology of specific species.
